Badass Ravi Kumar Box Office: Himesh Reshammiya led actioner mints over Rs 9 Cr during first weekend

Himesh Reshammiya has impressed his fans with his just-release retro musical actioner Badass Ravi Kumar. Released on Friday, February 7, the film amassed Rs 3.52 crore on it opening day, becoming his highest opener ever. Now, the film’s first weekend collection numbers are in and it’s a testimony to the love the film is receiving.

As per the latest reports, Himesh Reshammiya-led Badass Ravi Kumar has collected Rs 9.72 Cr (India nett) in just 3 days. The breakup – Day 1 (Friday) Rs 3.52 crore, Day 2 (Saturday) – Rs 3 crore and Day 3 (Sunday) – Rs 3.2 crore.

As per sources, Badass Ravi Kumar recovered its production and promotion cost before release, making its box office earnings pure profit. Not just in India, but the film is performing exceptionally well in the US, Canada, and Mauritius, too, proving its global appeal.

About the film

Directed by Keith Gomes and produced under Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, Badass Ravi Kumar features an ensemble cast led by Himesh Reshammiya as the titular character. The larger-than-life celebration of retro Bollywood storytelling also stars Prabhu Deva as the stylish antagonist Carlos Pedro Panther alongside Kirti Kulhari, Sunny Leone, and debutante Simona.

Giving the film a 3.5 star rating, Bollywood Bubble called Badasss Ravi Kumar “an entertaining ride packed with action, powerful dialogues, and vibrant music” in its review. It further read, “Despite a few technical flaws, it offers a nostalgic masala experience that will appeal to Himesh Reshammiya fans and action enthusiasts alike.”
