Aditya Chopra’s directorial ‘Befikre’ starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor took a good start at the box office. However, the film failed to show a great growth over the weekend, and even on week days the collection was not up to the mark.
‘Befikre’ has collected Rs. 48.50 crore in its first weekend, and is the 11th highest grossing film of the year till date. The film has collected less than ‘Baaghi’ and ‘Dishoom’, and the collection is disappointing as the film had all the elements of being a super hit; a stellar director in the form of Aditya Chopra, a powerhouse performer like Ranveer Singh, a gorgeous belle like Vaani Kapoor, and music that is rocking the charts. Well, we can say that the collection has been affected by the mixed reviews, and the not so good word of mouth.
Well, the film doesn’t have tough competition in the second week. The new release of the week ‘Wajah Tum Ho’ starring Sana Khaan, Gurmeet Choudhary and Sharman Joshi is targeted at the single screens, so ‘Befikre’ can do better business at the multiplexes.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
