Bhediya Box Office: Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon starrer gets a decent opening

Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon was released on November 25 and much to everyone’s delight, the film garnered good responses from the fans as well as critics. Now, speaking about the Bhediya box office collections, the movie had a decent opening.

According to Box Office India, Amar Kaushik’s directorial venture collected Rs 6.75 crore nett on day 1 at the box office. The movie will earn more this weekend due to good word of mouth. Bhediya is also facing a coemption from Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna starrer Drishyam 2 which has already crossed the 100 crore mark.

On the other hand, Bhediya earned Rs 12.06 crores at the worldwide box office.

Meanwhile, Bhediya also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Abhishek Banerjee and Paalin Kabak. Bollywood Bubble gave 4 stars to the Amar Kaushik film. A part of the review read, “Bhediya is super entertaining and manages to live up to the expectations in more ways than one. It surely gets a thumbs-up for its novel idea. From the stunning visuals to the powerful performances from all the actors, Bhediya is a must-watch, especially in the theatres.”

Bhediya is about a man who turns into a werewolf after being beaten by the creature. The film is also high on VFX and used special effects to create a perfect wolf for the film.

Speaking about the same, the Bhediya director told Pinkvilla, “We wanted to ensure that our Bhediya looks correct and couldn’t afford to go wrong with the VFX of the Bhediya. I wanted people to connect with the character and wanted them to believe that the Bhediya is a part of the jungle. The VFX team has tried to keep things close to reality and I am satisfied.”
