Anurag Kashyap’s magnum opus Bombay Velvet, did not manage to create magic at the Box-Office. The movies earnings were quite meager on the first day itself. The movie was expected to recover over the weekend, but the response was not good there too. It could manage to collect a mere Rs 16 crore in its opening weekend.
Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer Bombay Velvet has been in news for it’s retro concept, there were high expectations from the film that was to debut Karan Johar as the new Villain of Bollywood. Above and all a Ranbir Kapoor film was releasing after a year and half, so it was expected to be a hit by all and sundry.
