Box Office: Rashtra Kavach OM and Rocketry first Tuesday collections

Rashtra Kavach OM starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Rocketry- The Nambi Effect directed by R Madhavan clashed at the box office last week as the movies were released in theatres on July 1. The films opened with a slow start at the box office. However, the R Madhavan movie managed to pick up its pace during the first weekend. Although, the movie OM did not do a good business.

A Box Office India report stated that the movie Rashtra Kavach Om saw a drop in the collections, while Rocketry- The Nambi Effect witnessed a jump on the first Tuesday. The Aditya Roy Kapur film made a collection of 50,000 on the first Tuesday. It has so far made a total collection of 5.25 cr nett in the five days of its release. The report stated, “The film will have a week run only as its likely to be replaced by Khuda Hafiz 2 in most of the single screens.”

Here are the Rashtra Kavach Om collections so far:

Friday – 1,35,00,000 apprx

Saturday – 1,25,00,000 apprx

Sunday – 1,50,00,000 apprx

Monday – 60,00,000 apprx

Tuesday – 50,00,000 apprx

Total – 5,20,00,000 apprx

The movie Rocketry, that is based on a former ISRO scientist saw a jump in the first Tuesday collections. The movie made a collection of 75,000 nett, a bit more than the first Monday business. The R Madhavan directorial has collected a total of 5.20 cr nett so far. As per the report, “The collections of the film are now 5.25 crore nett apprx and should do 6.25-6.50 crore nett over the first week.”
