The year 2018 was a great one for Ranveer Singh. The power-house performer not only married the love of his life Deepika Padukone, but also gave two major hits of his film career – ‘Padmaavat’ and the recently released ‘Simmba’.
The Rohit Shetty directorial, ‘Simmba’ that released on December 28, opened to some great response from the audience. ‘Simmba’ not only became the highest opening film of Ranveer’s career, but now has also entered the coveted Rs. 100 crore club. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and shared the box office collections.
You can check out Taran’s post below:

So far, the film has minted around Rs. 124.54 cr approx. at the box office. The cop drama is also the eighth film of Rohit Shetty that has entered the 100 crore club. So far, Rohit has the maximum number of his films entering the 100 crore club. Really, the director must be on cloud nine now.
Like I pointed out yesterday, #Simmba is Rohit Shetty's eighth film to cross ₹ 100 cr mark… Rohit holds the record for maximum films in ₹ 100 cr Club… Indeed, Rohit is making the audience laugh in theatres and his distributors laugh all the way to the bank! pic.twitter.com/KgP5H2Xgyj

So for both Ranveer as well as Rohit, the year 2018 ended with a bang and the new year has given us more reasons to celebrate. And looking at the collections of the film, one can say that this Ranveer-Rohit jodi has struck a chord with the audience. Perhaps, we will get to see more of them in the near future.
This is also great news for newbie Sara Ali Khan, as ‘Simmba’ is only her second film in Bollywood.
