This has been a dry week for all the new Hindi releases as they continue to register poor numbers. The collections of these films are somewhat similar to the first day. (Also Read: Check out the movie review of Mustafa and Kiara Advani-starrer ‘Machine’)
Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Machine‘ starring debutant Mustafa Burmawalla and ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ fame Kiara Advani, did a business of Rs 40 lakh on Monday and the total four-day business of the movie is Rs 2.10 crore. The single screens have same business as Friday. The movie opened to a poor response but still better than the other two movies ‘Trapped’ and ‘Aa Gaya Hero’.
Vikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Trapped’, starring Rajkummar Rao and Geetanjali Thapa minted Rs 25 lakh on Monday taking the total domestic collection to Rs 1.55 crore till now. Rajkummar Rao’s splendid act did find some takers, but mostly in multiplexes. With very less promotions and no big star to back this movie, the mass audiences were not really aware of the same and its novel concept. This led to poor numbers.
Govinda’s comeback vehicle ‘Aa Gaya Hero’ did a business of Rs 15 lakh on Monday, taking the overall business to Rs 80 lakh. The numbers of this movie are hugely disappointing.
