Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava has achieved remarkable box office success in its first week. The film, which portrays the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has garnered significant attention and praise. As of day 10, the total collection stands at approximately Rs 325 crore.

Chhaava was declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. CM Mohan Yadav tweeted, “On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary, I announce the tax-free release of the Hindi film ‘Chhava’ based on his son Sambhaji Maharaj.”

Chhaava is a biopic of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Confederacy. Bollywood has previously delivered major historical hits like Kesari, Padmaavat, Tanhaji, and Bajirao Mastani. Chhaava has surpassed them at the box office.

Chhaava is produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films and directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film has generated strong anticipation since the release of its trailer and AR Rahman’s soundtrack.
