This Friday we had quite a few films making it to the theatres. Irrfan Khan and Parvathy-starrer ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ clashed with Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda-starrer ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’. Both the films dealt in romantic genres and garnered rave reviews from the critics. But unfortunately, they have failed to make it big at the box office.
On day 1, ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ managed to rake in approximately Rs 1.65-1.75 crore nett at the box office while ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ minted only Rs 60-65 lakh nett. Apart from these two, another film that released this Friday was South star Siddharth’s horror-thriller ‘The House Next Door’. It managed to get good reviews from the critics, but it looks like it failed to make money at the box office.
Let’s wait and watch, what the weekends hold for these films. Thanks to positive word of mouth for ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’, we are expecting the collections to be good.
