Director Akiv Ali made his debut with the romantic-comedy ‘De De Pyaar De‘ starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead role. Perhaps for the first time, Ajay is playing his age on the screen. The actor is playing a middle-aged divorced man Ashish who falls for Ayesha(Rakul) who is half his age. Comic situation and confusion ensue when Ashish introduces Ayesha to his ex-wife Manjana (Tabu) and family.
‘De De Pyaar De’ that released yesterday received mixed reviews from the critics and witnessed a very dull start at the box office. The film was able to earn only 10.41 crore (which includes Thursday preview) on its day one at the box office.
Film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared that after a dull start, the film’s occupancy in the theatre picked up during night shows. Now it has to be seen if that reflects on the film’s second-day collections. As for Friday(plus Thursday previews), the film minted around 10.41 crore approximately.

‘De De Pyaar De’, is Ajay’s second release of this year and everyone was excited to see him share the screen space with good friend Tabu. Now though people are praising their chemistry in the film, however, it’s the storyline which seems to have disappointed the audience.
