Actor Taapsee Pannu starrer Dobaaraa which was released on August 19 has failed to impress the audience during the festival day. The performance is so low that the film has still not collected a crore at the box office. Taapsee starrer has brought it Rs 90 lakhs on day 3 at the box, thus making the grand total to only Rs 2.50 crores. The film is also being screened alongside Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan.

Take a look at the detailed breakout of Dobaaraa box office collections here:

Day 1 – Friday – Rs 70 lakhs

Day 2 – Saturday – Rs 90 lakhs

Day 3 – Sunday – Rs 90 lakhs

TOTAL – Rs 2.50 crores

Bollywood Bubble gave 3.5 stars to Dobaaraa. A part of the review read, “Dobaaraa was a new and unique attempt in the genre and Taapsee and Anurag’s team up brings it out quite effectively. Barring the music and Pavail’s big emotional scene, the film is indeed an intriguing watch that will keep you hooked. You wouldn’t even want to blink as the story moves so swiftly and every scene has its importance.”

Dobaaraa starring Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati is helmed by Anurag Kashyap. Dobaara tells the story of a nurse Antara, who is in a rocky marriage but is trying to make it work for her daughter. The family has just moved to Pune to a neighbourhood that has some secrets of its own.

As people are boycotting Bollywood movies and due to this, the movies are performing poorly at the box office, Taapsee also reacted to the Boycott Bollywood trend. While speaking to Bollywood Bubble, the Game Over actor said, “It always has been. Koi choti si bhi cheez hoti hai, ghum firke, jaise mummy nahi bolti hain, bacha padhai nahi kar raha, ye phone ki wajah se hai, bachcha so nahi raha, phone ki wajah se hai, bachche ko kuch prblem hai, ye phone ki wajah se hai. Matlab koi relation nahi hoga par bachcha phone mein ghusa rehta hai, to wo problem hai. So, wo ho gaya hai, ki hamare country mein koi bhi problem hogi, wo film industry ki wajah se hai. (Even for the smallest thing, it has become like a mother blames using phone for any of a child’s problem, similarly, any problem happens in our country, it all gets blamed on the film industry).
