Drishyam 2 Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer continues to dominate with its superb hold in second Wednesday collections

Drishyam 2, directed by Abhishek Pathak has maintained a strong hold and continues to dominate the box office collections, even on the second Wednesday. The Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna starrer was released in theatres on November 18, last week. The movie Drishyam 2 made approximately over 4.50 crore nett on the second Wednesday, at the box office.

A Box Office India report said that the Abhishek Pathak directorial will continue to dominate this week, despite An Action Hero releasing in theatres. As per the report, An Action Hero will hardly prove any competition for Drishyam 2 which is running strong. Despite the release of Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon last week, Drishyam 2 has maintained a strong hold and is doing a phenomenal business.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that Drishyam 2 has a strong hold on the weekdays and it is unstoppable. The film in week two has made a collection of over 158 crore nett.  In his tweet, sharing the numbers, the trade analyst wrote, “#Drishyam2 continues to set the cash registers ringing… Note the solid hold on weekdays, this movie is simply unstoppable… [Week 2] Fri 7.87 cr, Sat 14.05 cr, Sun 17.32 cr, Mon 5.44 cr, Tue 5.15 cr, Wed 4.68 cr. Total: ₹ 159.17 cr. #India biz.”

As per a report, Drishyam 2 will have a real task going forward with how its collections get compared to that of KGF 2 (Hindi) and RRR (Hindi). The Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna starring movie is currently on the verge of emerging as a blockbuster. And, with the release of Rohit Shetty directorial Cirkus in the upcoming weeks, which is expected to make a collection of 200 crore nett plus, the industry will enter the new year in a much better position than what was in August, said the report.

Meanwhile, Drishyam 2 also features Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor and Mrunal Jadhav.
