Drishyam 2 Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer remains rock steady in fourth Friday collections

The movie Drishyam 2 remained rock steady in terms of box office collections on the fourth Friday. The Abhishek Pathak directorial has successfully entered the fourth week after raking a massive third-week collection. Drishyam 2 made collections of over 2 crore nett on the fourth Friday at the box office.

After a bumper opening of 15 crore nett on the opening day, the Abhishek Pathak directorial made a phenomenal collection in the first week. The film continued its trend in the second week as well. The third week also saw a massive collection at the box office.

As Drishyam 2 continues its succesful run, the movie saw a little higher collection than the third Thursday. In total, the Ajay Devgn starrer has now made a collection of 193.50 crore nett. The film is inching closer to 200 crore and is expected to cross 195.50 crore nett at the box office.

Here are the Drishyam 2 box office collections so far:

Week One – 1,02,37,00,000 

Week Two – 57,16,00,000  

Third Week – 31,50,00,000 apprx 

Friday – 2,25,00,000 apprx

TOTAL – 1,93,48,00,000 apprx

According to the report, “Drishyam 2 again has taken advantage of weak competition as it collected in the 2.25 crore nett range which is a little higher than Thursday. This is mainly because of no competition. This takes the collections of the film to 193.50 crore nett and it will cross the 195.50 crore nett number of Sooryavanshi on Saturday and be second to Brahamstra post pandemic for original Hindi films with organic collections.”

As per the report, “The 230 crore nett total of Brahmastra (Hindi) is out of reach now as its very unlikely that Drishyam 2 will not maintain this 45% weekly drop range when Avatar 2 comes. It is probbaly looking at a number of 215-220 crore nett which is more than good and extraordinary in terms of the box office scenario today.”

Drishyam 2 features Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav, apart from Ajay Devgn.
