Eighth day box office business of ‘Dear Zindagi’ is good enough

Gauri Shinde’s ‘Dear Zindagi’ saw a slight drop in numbers on the eighth day of its release. The movie collected Rs 2.25 crore nett on Friday and that takes the total eight days business to Rs 49 crore which is quite good. If the movie rakes almost Rs 10 crore this weekend, then the overall business of the movie will be somewhere around Rs 65-70 crore nett which will be similar to movies like ‘Neerja’, ‘Kapoor & Sons’ and ‘Pink’.

The movie is earning strong numbers in the South region and Mysore has earned Rs 6 crore nett. Now that ‘Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh’ has entered the market, the business of ‘Dear Zindagi’ will obviously be less.

‘Dear Zindagi’ stars Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles and Kunal Kapoor, Ali Zafar and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles. The movie released on November 25, 2016 and received a good response from the critics.
