Fighter box office: Hrithik Roshan gets his 4th biggest opener of all time, beats Agneepath, Kaabil & Dhoom 2

Siddharth Anand’s aerial actioner Fighter starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor has finally landed in theaters across the nation yesterday. Having arrived with loads of adrenaline-pumping action, goosebumps-worthy BGM, sizzling chemistry of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, and a sheer fervour of patriotism, Fighter has opened up on a high note and collected 24.60 Cr. on day 1 at the box office.

Fighter has set its strong feet at the box office from day one. Released on the eve of Republic Day, the film collected 24.60 Cr. on day 1, Thursday. With this collection, Fighter has emerged as 4^th biggest opening of Hrithik’s career. It is followed by War (Rs 53.35 cr), Bang Bang (Rs 27.54 cr), Krrish 3 (Rs 25.50 cr).

Remarkably, the film was released on the working day and went on to register a phenomenal opening at the box office which is a good sign for its growth in the coming days. With public holiday on the occasion of Republic day, amazing reviews and positive word of mouth the surge in collection is expected in upcoming days.

Bollywood Bubble gave Fighter 3.5 out of 5 stars. A part of the review reads, “Siddharth gives the perfect action movie to watch this Republic Day. Loaded with patriotism flavour, Fighter not only makes your chest swell with pride but also make you teary-eyed. What begins with covering the unfortunate 2019 Pulwama attack to the response Balakote air-strike, the movie gets the narrative right – and soars through the skies!

Fighter also stars Akshay Oberoi Karan Singh Grover and Sanjeeda Sheikh in pivotal roles.
