The first week box office numbers of all three Hindi movies, ‘Aa Gaya Hero, ‘Trapped’ and ‘Machine’ are disappointing. (Also Read: ‘Machine’, ‘Trapped’ and ‘Aa Gaya Hero’ goes from bad to worse, first Tuesday collection is horrible)
Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Machine’ starring debutant Mustafa and Kiara Advani did a business of Rs 3 crore in first week and the movie will have only some single screens in the second week. It opened to a poor response but still better than ‘Aa Gaya Hero’ and ‘Trapped’. The movie did not get good reviews and the numbers are also disappointing.
Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Trapped’ opened to a good response from the critics and the concept was widely appreciated, so was the performance of Rajkummar. But, with less promotions and multiple releases on the same day, the movie did not make the cut at the box office. The first week numbers of the movie are Rs 2.25 crore and that’s quite a low number. The movie had low mid-week, but due to low occupancy, the movie remains at select multiplexes outside Mumbai in just one show.
Finally, Govinda’s comeback flick ‘Aa Gaya Hero’ has been the most disappointing among all the new releases. Sadly, Govinda could not save the fate of the movie which did a business of Rs 1.10 crore in the first week.
