First week box office business of ‘Rock On 2’ is very disappointing

‘Rock On 2’ that started out with low numbers at the box office has unfortunately registered really low numbers in week one. The first week business of the movie is around Rs 10.50 crore net. The demonetization effect is being cited as one of the major reasons for poor performance of the movie at the box office. The satellite rights of the movie should fetch somewhere around Rs 13 crore, but considering the poor performance of ‘Rock On’ on national television, the sequel has low chances. On the basis of the first week numbers, ‘Rock On 2’ stands at 37th position for this year which is really bad.

The film has registered low numbers than films like ‘1920 London’, ‘Freaky Ali’ and ‘Madaari’. The film is already out of quite a few theatres and will hardly collect any money.

‘Rock On 2’ helmed by Shujaat Saudagar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani stars Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Prachi Desai in pivotal roles.
