The first week collection of ‘Dangal’ is simply outstanding

Aamir Khan’s films always make a mark at the box office and break records, and the actor’s this year’s release ‘Dangal’ is no exception. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial has garnered an excellent amount in its first week.

The film on Thursday collected Rs. 19.75 crore, taking the first week collection to Rs. 192.39 crore. The first week total makes ‘Dangal’ the second highest grosser till date. Salman Khan-starrer ‘Sultan’ had collected Rs. 209 crore in its first week.

It’s vacation season so we can expect ‘Dangal’ to perform exceptionally in its second week. The film will reach the 200 crore club today. However, it will be interesting to see if the movie will break the records of Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma-starrer ‘Sultan’.

‘Dangal’ has also received much critical acclaim. Said to be the best film of the year, the movie also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar.
