First weekend collection of ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and ‘Freaky Ali’ are disappointing

‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and ‘Freaky Ali’ had hit the screens on September 9. Well, the pre-release buzz of both the films was quite good, but they have failed to make a mark at the box office.

The Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif starrer took a slow start and collected Rs. 6.75 crore on day one. The film had received mixed reviews, so it was expected that it won’t show a great growth on day two. On Saturday, the film collected only Rs. 7.50 crore. However, what shocked us was the collection of the film on Sunday. Instead of showing a growth, the collection saw a fall on Sunday. It collected Rs. 6.75 crore approx., taking the three day total to Rs. 21 crore approx. which is decent!

On the other hand, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer ‘Freaky Ali’ showed a growth over the weekend, but unfortunately didn’t come up with some good numbers. The movie collected Rs. 1.75 crore on Friday, on Saturday there was a minimal growth and it collected Rs. 2.50 crore and on Sunday it collected Rs. 3 crore. In its first weekend, the Sohail Khan directorial collected Rs. 7.25 crore.

While the collections on the weekend were so low, we wonder how the collection would be in the coming week.
