Ganapath vs Yaariyan 2 box office: Tiger Shroff starrer fares better than Divya Khosla’s movie on Day 1

This week, Ganapath and Yaariyan 2 clashed at the box office. Directed by Vikas Bahl, Ganapath stars Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. It is a fiction thriller that given a glimpse of futuristic world. While Yaariyan 2 starring Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jafri, Pearl V Puri, and Yash Daasguptaa is a romantic film. Both the film released in theatres on 20^th October and Day 1 box office collection of Ganapath and Yaariyan 2 is out.

Talking about Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath, the film has managed to mint Rs 2.5 crores on the opening day. It had an overall 9.72% Hindi Occupancy on Friday.

While Yaariyan 2 collected around Rs 60 lakh on Day 1. Reportedly, it recorded an occupancy of 5.65 per cent on its first day.

Looking at the collection, seems like audience are enjoying Tiger and Kriti’s Ganapath as the film races ahead. With weekend coming, it is expected to grow.

Ganapath review

Bollywood Bubble gave Ganapath 3 stars. A part of the review read, “If you’re looking for a unique action-entertainer that also takes you to the future, then Ganapath is the right watch for you this weekend. Be it Tiger and Kriti’s outstanding action and romance or Amitabh Bachchan’s impactful appearance, everything except the VFX is near-perfect in Ganapath.”

Yaariyan 2 review

Bollywood Bubble gave Yaariyan 2 3 stars. A part of the review read, “Divya’s emotional side looks better than her fun avatar. Living up to its stance of being a musical extravaganza, Radhika and Vinay chose some iconic background scores that really work in favor of the story. It is actually the music that elevates many of the scenes. With many technical flaws, the story is a sweet one, so it won’t harm you to watch it on the big screen especially if you order some strong coffee or tea to go with it.
