Gangubai Kathiawadi Box Office: Alia Bhatt starrer does excellent biz on second Saturday

Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi has made an excellent collection on the second Saturday at the box office. The movie has managed to collect good numbers on the ninth day of its release, despite the release of movies like The Batman and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund. It was only recently that the makers announced that the Alia Bhatt starrer has crossed a collection of Rs 100 crore, worldwide. Gangubai Kathiawadi continues to make a good collection at the box office, despite other releases. And the movie is inching closer to the 100 crore mark.

A Box Office India report said that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has collected Rs 7.75 crore nett. The report also continued to mention that Gangubai Kathiawadi has raked a total collection of approx Rs 79 crore nett including the second Saturday numbers. From what it looks like, the audience is enjoying the Alia Bhatt movie.

According to the report, “Gangubai Kathiawadi had a superb second Saturday as it collected in the 7.50 crore nett range taking its nine day total to 78.50 crore nett. The growth on the second Saturday is around 60% which is fantastic and it continues to score practically all over.”

As per another report by the website, “Gangubai Kathiawadi  has done excellent business on its second Saturday as it grossed 7.75 crore nett taking its overall total almost 79 crore nett. The growth was excellent all over on Saturday and the film has chances of hitting double digits on Sunday and if that happens it could close the second week with 100 crore nett up on the board.”

Meanwhile, Gangubai Kathiawadi is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars Ajay Devgn, Huma Qureshi, vijay raaz, Seema Pahwa and Shantanu Maheshwari, apart from Alia.

Talking about the movie, Bollywood Bubble gave the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, 3.5 stars.
