Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is snowballing at the box office and is unstoppable. The movie hit the theatres on February 25 and has already reached the 100 crore mark. On Friday, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali Directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi recorded a collection of more than Rs 100 crore at the global box office after a week in theatres.
Sharing the great news with the fans Bhansali Productions shared an appreciation post on their social media account. The caption read, “Itna saara pyaar dene ke liye THEEEENK YOUUUU ?.(sic)”

Gangubai Kathiawadi has collected a whopping 108.3 crores worldwide till Friday, March 4. Now that the Covid-19 protocols have been relaxed, with the government allowing 100% occupancy in theatres in Maharashtra and New Delhi, Gangubai Kathiawadi is expected to gross even more.
The Alia Bhatt starrer was one of the biggest openings at the box office amidst the pandemic with an opening of ₹10.5 crores on the first day itself. As per a report by Box Office India, “Gangubai Kathiawadi has had a superb hold on day eight with collections in the 4.50 crore nett despite competition from new films and one of these new films The Batman has down very well on day one. The drop for Gangubai Kathiawadi is around 15% from Thursday.”
