Akshay Kumar’s sports drama ‘Gold‘ was one of the much-anticipated films of the year and as always, the actor is meeting the audience’s expectations. The movie that had hit the theaters on August 15, has already earned Rs 33.25 crore in its first two days. The film opened at Rs 25.25 crore and followed it up with Rs 8 crore on the second day.
After a slump in business on the second day, the Reema Kagti directorial is back on tracks and has managed to show a decent growth of 25% on Friday and collected Rs 10 crore nett taking the three-day numbers to Rs. 43 crore nett plus.
The first three day business of ‘Gold’ is as follows:
Wednesday – 25,25,00,000 apprx
Thursday – 8,00,00,000 apprx
Friday – 10,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL – 43,25,00,000
If the present trend continues over the weekend then the movie will soon cross the Rs 50 crore barrier and gallop towards the 100 crore club.
