‘Golmaal Again’ fares well despite drop, ‘Secret Superstar’ remains low

Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again’ is going great guns at the box office. On its first Tuesday, the film has fared around Rs. 13.25 crore. This is a drop of approximately 15% from its Monday collection. But given that the festive season is over and major contributing circuits are getting back to work, the collections can well be called fair.

The film fared extremely well in Gujarat circuit, the total collection of the region being almost double than what it’s competitor ‘Secret Superstar’ earned from Mumbai. (Also Read: Parineeti receives a special birthday gift from Rohit Shetty!)

With this, ‘Golmaal Again’ stands with around Rs 116.60 crore approximately. A first week collection of around Rs 137 crore is being projected.

On the other hand, Aamir Khan’s home production ‘Secret Superstar’ on its first Tuesday, minted Rs 2.75 crore. It has witnessed a drop of around 10%. But the film never opened on a great note and the occupancy rate continues to fall. For this one, a first week collection of around Rs 41 crore is being projected.
