‘Golmaal Again’ and ‘Secret Superstar’ stay steady on Saturday

After taking a bumper opening on Friday, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again’ showed a slight drop on Saturday. However, the film starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu, was steady on its second day.

The film collected Rs 28.50 crore approx. on Saturday, taking the two-day total collection to Rs 58.60 crore approx. The collection is excellent, but it looks difficult for the film to collect Rs 100 crore in its first weekend. If the movie stays steady on Monday, then it might reach the 100 crore club in four days. Such massy films mostly show a huge drop on weekdays after having a great weekend. On the other hand, Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim-starrer ‘Secret Superstar’ is doing well too. The film collected Rs 8.50 crore approx. on Saturday, taking the three-day (it had released on Thursday) total to Rs 22.25 crore approx. It looks like it would be a 30 crore weekend for the film. It’s a content-driven movie and we can expect the movie to be stable on weekdays as well. The positive reviews and word of mouth will surely work in the film’s favour.
