Shah Rukh Khan started the 2023 year with a bang by releasing Pathaan on January 25. The film created some amazing box office records including the highest opening day and crossing the 50-crore mark on day 1. Well, a similar thing was seen after the release of Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2. The movie collected over Rs 40 crores on day 1 at the box office.

1. Pathaan – Rs 57 crores

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan was one of the blockbusters in 2023. The movie created a storm at the box office and broke several box office records.

2. Gadar 2 – Rs 40.10 crores

Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 is a sequel to the 2001 film and has done a phenomenal job on day 1 at the box office.

3. Adipurush – Rs 36 crores

Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer was one the much-talked-about movies; however, it received heavy criticism from fans. Despite the negative reviews, the movie has managed to mint good numbers on day 1. Om Raut’s movie comes third in the place.

4. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan – Rs 15.81 crores

Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan comes fourth in the list. The movie has also crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office in just 5 days.

5. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar – Rs 15.73 crores

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer created a lot of buzz with their new-age relationship topic. The movie also had a decent start at the box office.

6. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani – Rs 11.10 crores

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer was one of the highly anticipated movies this year and it still managed to cross the 10 cr mark.

7. Bholaa – Rs 11 crores

Ajay Devgn starrer Bholaa didn’t create enough buzz during its release and it approximately brought Rs 11 crores at the box office.

8. OMG 2 – Rs 10.26 crores

Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 clashed with Gadar 2 at the box office. Despite the heavy clash, the movie managed to start on a decent note.

9. Satyaprem Ki Katha: Rs 8.75 crores

Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer was loved by many, thanks to its strong message. The movie finds a spot in the 9th position.

10. The Kerala Story – Rs 8.03 crores

The movie moved everyone due to its hard-hitting plot. Adah Sharma starrer raked in good numbers at the box office.
