Saket Chaudhary’s ‘Hindi Medium’ has once again proved that content is the king. The film starring Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar has proved to be a super hit at the box office. The pre-release buzz of the movie was average, but positive reviews and great word of mouth helped it to collect a great amount at the box office.
The movie is ruling the box office even in its third weekend. It collected approximately Rs 7 crore in its third weekend taking the till date total to Rs 48.62 crore, which is excellent. It feels good to see a content-oriented film doing so well at the box office. (Also Read: ‘Hindi Medium’ and ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ continue to dominate the box office)
On the other hand, ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ has collected 4.25 crore approx. in its second weekend. The total collection of the movie is Rs 39.77 crore. While ‘Hindi Medium’ and ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ were stable over the weekend, new releases have proved to be dud. Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem-starrer ‘Dobaara’ has just collected 75 lakh in its first weekend which is very disappointing.
