Jawan advance bookings: Shah Rukh Khan starrer earns more than 1 crore in the US

Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next action biggie Jawan helmed by Atlee. The film has been passed by the Censor Board with a U/A certificate. The prevue and songs of the film, Zinda Banda and Chaleya have received overwhelmingly positive responses. While the buzz around the film grows stronger with every passing day, the advance bookings at the overseas market indicate that Jawan can be another mega blockbuster of Shah Rukh Khan.

US booking for the film opened almost a month ago in some places. Jawan has already sold tickets worth over Rs 1 crore at the US box office 15 days ahead of release. This buzz in the overseas market is a reflection of how the film could do globally. The film’s advance booking is also open in Germany, UAE, and Australia.

The film will release on September 7 worldwide. It is touted to be mounted on a scale bigger than Pathaan made on a whooping budget of Rs 300 crore. Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s most expensive film to date.

Confirming the same, an insider told a news portal, “Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s most expensive film till date made on a budget of Rs. 300 crores. King Khan is known to be a gracious producer who loves to spend big to give his audience the best experience on the big screen. Atlee is also a director who is a big believer of the theatrical medium and the duo have come together to create one of the biggest action thrillers of all time. Shah Rukh knew that Pathaan would raise the bar of cinema in India. The action blocks are shot in big setups. The team went ahead to mount big sets rather than the greenscreen format to give it a more realistic feel. There have been some delays and reshoots too which added to the costs, but it is all for the benefit of the film to make it look glossy and classy”.
