‘Kaabil’ adds another feather to its cap, becomes the first super hit film of 2017

The makers of Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam-starrer ‘Kaabil’ have one more reason to celebrate. The film has been doing quite well at the box office, and now, it has turned out to be the first super hit of the year.

The film, which was made with the budget of Rs 50 crore, has collected Rs 129.16 crore. The collection is excellent and this means that ‘Kaabil’ has made a profit of 158%. The movie had already collected Rs 116 crore before the release, which makes this film a highly profitable venture for its makers.

We can expect ‘Kaabil’ to be stable in its third week as well. While Hrithik has a few 100 crore films in his kitty, this is the first film of Yami which has collected above 100 crore. The movie received amazing reviews, and the positive word of mouth really helped it to escalate its business at the box office. The movie was directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Rakesh Roshan, and it clashed with ‘Raees’ that released on January 25, 2017.
