Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam-starrer ‘Kaabil’ has impressed mass and class alike. With critics singing praises for the performances of the leads the box office numbers rolled in well for this romance-revenge drama which crossed the mark of Rs 100 crore despite clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’.
As the movie is about to enter its third week, it still is going steady as far as collections are concerned. As per the figures shared by production house, Tuesday, which was its 16th day after the release of the movie, saw the box office collection of Rs 2.31 crores, taking the total collection to Rs 129.16 crore. The collection is not at all bad considering that it is the end of the second week of the movie.
‘Kaabil’ faced strong competition from Shah Rukh Khan-starrer gangster-drama ‘Raees’, which also hit the theatres on the same date, i.e. January 25. Both the movies have done quite well, breaking the January jinx of the box office in Bollywood.
There were no big releases lined up two weeks post the release of these two movies. Now that Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ has made it to the big screens today, let’s see how it affects the collections of ‘Kaabil’ and ‘Raees’.
For now, ‘Kaabil’ has managed to rake in really good numbers. The movie also stars Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy in negative roles.
