Kalki 2898 AD box office: Prabhas starrer emerges as 9th highest grosser of all time, beats lifetime collection of Salaar in a week

Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD has turned out to be a blockbuster in domestic as well as overseas market. After an impressive start, the film has maintained it’s strong hold at the box office. As the first week comes to an end, Kalki 2898 AD has raked in Rs 414.85 crores (all languages) in India. With this it has emerged in top 10 highest grossers of all time.

Kalki 2898 AD domestic box office collection

Kalki 2898 AD’ earned Rs 95.3 crore on its opening day on June 27. It saw a dip in collections on Friday, earning Rs 59.3 crore, before business picked up on Saturday with Rs 66.2 crore. On Sunday, it further increased, earning Rs 88.2 crore. Business dipped during the week, with Monday bringing in Rs 34.15 crore, Rs 27.05 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 22.7 crore on Wednesday. On Thursday, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ made Rs 21.8 crore, taking the total to Rs 414.25 crore.

With this, it has emerged as 9th highest grossing Indian movie of all time beating Salaar. Here’s the list:

KGF 2: 856 cr

RRR: 772 cr

Jawan: 640.42 cr

Animal: 554 cr

Pathaan: 543.22 crores

Gadar 2: 525.50 crores

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. The epic dystopia sci-fi film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. The film – set in the post-apocalyptic 2898 AD world, is inspired by Hindu scriptures. It follows a select group on a mission to save Kalki, the reincarnation of Lord Krishna and the unborn child of SUM-80.
