The movie Liger (Hindi) starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday has made a low score in the first week at the box office. The movie directed by Puri Jagannadh was released in theatres on August 26. The film had opened with a decent collection after the release. However, the movie Liger witnessed a drop in the collections on the first Monday. The movie went on to see a drop of 70% in the box office collections.
A Box Office India report said that Liger has made a collection of 85 lakh nett in the Thursday collections. The film collected 1.10 crore nett on the fifth day after it saw a massive drop on the Monday collections. Liger collected 1 crore nett on Wednesday and went on to see a drop in the Thursday collections further. The movie has made a total collection of 18.05 crore nett approximately.
According to the report, “Liger (Hindi) had a dull first week collecting 18 crore nett as collections crashed from Monday onward. The weekend collections were not too bad for a film which had no face value and a south feel. The film was hyped way above the ground value of the film and that probably generated some little extra interest.”
