Loveyapa Box Office Day 1: Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor makes decent debut with THIS collection at the ticket windows

Loveyapa, starring Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan, debuted at Rs 1.25 crore. Loveyapa, the eagerly awaited first feature starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, opened in theatres on February 7 and has already produced its first day’s earnings.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, the rom-com that marked the first theatrical release for both young talents earned approximately Rs 1.25 crore.

Earlier, the film grabbed the headlines for the star power behind it. Junaid, son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, and Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late legendary actress Sridevi.

Ahead of the theatrical release, Loveyapa created a buzz with its star-studded screening in Mumbai on Wednesday. The event saw the presence of Bollywood icons, including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, adding to the film’s pre-release hype. Actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also lent their support to the film.

Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor in the lead roles, is a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit Love Today. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film also stars Ashutosh Rana, Kiku Sharda and Grusha Kapoor.

The story revolves around the quintessential Gen Z couple- Baani Sharma (Khushi) and Gaurav Sachdeva (Junaid), who are challenged to exchange their phones as a test of their relationship. What ensues ahead is a journey of confusion, comedy and confrontations.

Junaid and Khushi’s work front

On the work front, Junaid has another film lined up with South star Sai Pallavi. Meanwhile, Khushi Kapoor will be seen opposite Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, in Naadaniyaan.
