Maidaan worldwide box office: Ajay Devgn starrer has a decent opening; earns over Rs 10 crore

Maidaan is one Indian film that’s catching the audience’s attention across the world. There are tears and cheers in cinemas in equal measure for this epic from the yesteryears. With audiences raving about the way football matches have been shown to the ever-powerful portrayal of Coach SA Rahim by the megastar Ajay Devgn, the excitement for the film has been growing rapidly. And the box office numbers are testimony. Maidaan has comfortably crossed the 10CR mark on the first day at the worldwide box office.

Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan earned Rs 10.70 crores on day 1 at the box office which is a decent opening. Major contributors are the west, north and eastern states. The Maidaan journey has just begun. And to quote Ajay Devgn’s dialogue from the film ‘football hamari pehchaan bana sakti hain’ (football can give us identity). It’s just a matter of time before Maidaan and football will become synonyms.
