‘Malang’ Box-Office Report: Disha Patani-Aditya Roy Kapur starrer earns THIS much on its opening weekend

Mohit Suri directorial ‘Malang’ hit the screens last Friday i.e on February 7. The movie has received mixed reviews and had a decent opening on Day 1. On Day 3, the Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani starrer witnessed growth at the box-office.

Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to share the Day 3 collection of ‘Malang’. He tweeted, “#Malang records decent weekend… Witnesses growth on Day 2 and 3, but jump on Day 3 is missing… Multiplexes improve… Mass circuits fair… Important to maintain the momentum on weekdays… Fri 6.71 cr, Sat 8.89 cr, Sun 9.76 cr. Total: ₹ 25.36 cr.”

In another tweet, he wrote that ‘Malang’ recorded the highest opening weekend compared to Aditya’s other solo movies.

Along with ‘Malang’, two other movies of different genres released on February 7-one is Hina Khan’s debut movie ‘Hacked’ and the other is Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ‘Shikara’. Both these movies are not doing that much business compared to ‘Malang’. In that case, it is not facing a tough competition at the box-office. But, next week ‘Love Aaj Kal’ is hitting the screens, so ‘Malang’ might have hard times at the box-office.

‘Malang’s story revolves around Advait (Aditya) and Sara (Disha) and how their life takes a U-turn. Apart from Aditya and Disha, the movie also stars Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu in pivotal roles.
