Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Mardaani 2’ released on theatres on December 13. The movie is going strong at the box-office. The movie opened with a decent amount of Rs 3.80 crore and going steady at the ticket windows. The opening weekend collection of the movie was Rs 18.15 crore that is quite a good amount. But the collection dropped on weekdays.
Film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and shared the box-office collection of Week 1. He tweeted, “#Mardaani2 packs a punch in Week 1… Records higher *Week 1* biz than #Hichki and #Mardaani… Fri 3.80 cr, Sat 6.55 cr, Sun 7.80 cr, Mon 2.85 cr, Tue 2.65 cr, Wed 2.25 cr, Thu 2.15 cr. Total: ₹ 28.05 cr. #India biz… Biz affected in some circuits since few days.”

He also shared the first-week collection of Rani’s previous movies-‘Hichki’ and ‘Mardaani’. ‘Mardaani’ minted Rs 22.97 crore in its first week while ‘Hichki’ collected Rs 26.10 crore.
