‘Mission Mangal’ is based on India’s first mission to Mars. The film has been winning hearts all over, and with it now crossing the Rs 200 cr mark, it is sure to get more and more eyeballs.
Coming to the plot of the film, the movie starts by showing a failed ISRO mission. Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) is then shifted to a Mars project and along with Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan), he hatches a brilliant plan to put India on the space map. After a lot of struggle to get requisite funds, the entire team manages to achieve the impossible. They manage to make a satellite enter the Mars orbit.
The film released alongside John Abraham’s ‘Batla House’ on the Independence Day weekend. Both the films did well at the ticket windows, and ‘Mission Mangal’ continues to get footfalls at theatres.
