‘Mohenjo Daro’s box office business in six days is poor

So far, the box office collections of Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Mohenjo Daro‘ have been Rs. 46 crore which isn’t that great in a period of six days. But, considering the fact that the movie had stiff competition from Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Rustom’, the earnings did get affected. We believe the historical saga didn’t find many takers as the taste of the audience has evolved and they prefer mysterious, romantic thrillers over historical saga.

The collections on Wednesday saw a drop from the collections of Tuesday which had minted Rs 3 crore. Yesterday’s earnings stood at Rs 2.75 crore. Today, being a holiday on account of Raksha Bandhan, we can expect the earnings to see an increase especially from Gujarat and North region.

Hrithik Roshan fans surely had their eyes on ‘Mohenjo Daro’, and Hrithik was happy with the response of his well-wishers. Hrithik had said, “I am pleasantly surprised by the positive reviews for ‘Mohenjo Daro’. It is encouraging that we have received better reviews than most were expecting.” The movie that was made on a whopping budget of Rs 120 crore had already recovered half of its amount before release via satellite rights and music rights. So let’s see where the movie stands tomorrow, as ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ enters the market.
