Sridevi-starrer ‘MOM‘ showed a good growth at the box office on second day. The movie showed a growth of around 65% from the Friday business and grossed Rs 5 crore nett on Saturday. The growth is more than that of Irrfan Khan-starrer ‘Hindi Medium’ which had released some weeks ago. However, it could be attributed to the fact that ‘MOM’ got a wider release than ‘Hindi Medium’. The movie has almost doubled its business in various multiplexes around the country. The Saturday growth can be called as one of the best growths of this year amongst all the major releases. So, the total two day business of the movie is Rs 8 crore nett. The movie is doing well in the Mumbai circuit which saw a growth of around 45%.
Talking about the other release ‘Guest Iin London’, the movie showed a growth of around 40% as it did a business of Rs 1.75 crore nett on Saturday which takes its two day business to Rs 3 crore nett. (Also Read: ‘MOM’ and ‘Guest Iin London’ have a low start at the box office)
Clearly, ‘MOM’ is ahead of ‘Guest Iin London’, now let’s see what Sunday holds for these movies.
