Shaad Ali’s ‘OK Jaanu’, which is the first big release of the year has unfortunately failed to make a mark at the box office in its first weekend. The movie starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor took a good start at the box office, but then there was no growth over the weekend.
The movie on Friday collected Rs 3.50 crore, on Saturday the collection was Rs 4.25 crore, and on Sunday it collected Rs 4 crore. The first weekend collection is Rs 11.75 crore, which is really disappointing.
Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur-starrer ‘Aashiqui 2’ had collected Rs 17.90 crore in its first weekend.
‘OK Jaanu’, which is a remake of Mani Ratnam’s ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’, has received mixed to positive reviews. We wonder if the mediocre promotions of the film are the reason behind such low collection. Let’s see if the film will be able to be stable over week days or not.
