Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam starrer dramedy OMG 2 is maintaining a strong hold at the box office. Despite getting an A certification and facing a clash with Gadar 2, the film is witnessing growth at the ticket windows with every passing day. It collected Rs 5.25 crore on Thursday and now stands with a total collection of ₹84.72 crore after a week of its release.

With this collection, the film has emerged as the 9th highest grosser of the year after films like Pathaan (Rs 543.05 cr), Gadar 2 (Rs 284.63 cr*), The Kerala Story (Rs 242.20 cr), Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (Rs 149.05 cr), Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaan (Rs 138.62 cr) Adipurush (Rs 135.04 cr), Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (Rs 110.53 cr), and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (Rs 88 cr).
Talking about the worldwide box office collections, OMG 2 has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark. Speaking of its plot, the social comedy aims to spread awareness about the importance of the inclusion sex education in the school curriculum. The film is unanimously receiving positive responses for conveying the message with a dash of humor.
