On its second Friday, ‘Raees’ has a noticeable drop

Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘Raees’ had a strong beginning at the box office. However, after finishing nine days, the pace at which it was minting money, grew weak.

On it’s second Friday, ‘Raees’ has collected an amount of Rs 2.75 crore. With this, the total collection of the film so far is Rs 114.50 crore.

Out of the total collection, the first week contributed Rs 111.75 Crore. (Also Read: Hrithik Roshan invites you to join him for a ‘Kaabil’ party!)

The drop in collection is almost 35%. This can be credited to reduction in screen numbers after the first week. However, ticket prices are usually up during weekends. Or else, the fall could be more drastic. Competitor ‘Kaabil’, thanks to the wonderful response it received, has been given 200 new screens. This will have a direct impact on the box office performance of ‘Raees’ as well.

Although it was way ahead of ‘Kaabil’ initially, ‘Raees’ is now doing more or less similar business. The difference isn’t sky high and there are chances that it will decrease further.
