Padmaavat: Thanks to the ban, film FAILS to enter Rs 200 crore club by the end of 1st week

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ is creating buzz all around the world. Not only in India, the film is doing really well abroad too but. But, if noticed, the film could have done a lot better if it would have received a pan India release. Thanks to controversy, the film did not release in quite a few states and hence, the low collection.

Talking about the first week collection of ‘Padmaavat’, the film has manage to gross Rs 159 crore approximately in total. On the 8th day, the film minted Rs 10.25 crore nett. In case the film was not banned in states like Gujarat, ‘Padmaavat’ might have easily managed to cross Rs 200 crore mark by now. A little to makers it seems.
