Adipurush Box Office: Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer witnesses a BIG drop in numbers on second Monday

Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush continues to perform poorly at the box office. Adipurush was released on June 16.

Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush has been grabbing attention since its release. The Om Raut directorial opened on a good note at the box office. After facing the wrath of netizens for multiple reasons, Adipurush started performing poorly at the box office. Speaking of that, Adipurush went down in numbers on its second Monday. According to reports, Prabhas starrer collected Rs 1.74 crore at the domestic box office on its second Monday.

Adipurush performs poorly at the box office

Prabhas starrer Adipurush released in theatres on 16^th June. On Monday, Adipurush recorded its lowest collection as he earned Rs 1.74 crore. Despite negative reviews, Adipurush stands at Rs 277 crore at the domestic box office.

On the other hand, Adipurush has crossed the Rs 400 crore mark at the worldwide box office. On Monday, T-Series shared a post celebrating Adipurush’s success. The post was captioned saying, “We are incredibly touched by the overwhelming response shown towards Adipurush… Jai Shri Ram.”

Prabhas plays the role of Raghava whereas Kriti Sanon is seen as Sita in the Om Raut directorial. Saif Ali Khan, who is also a part of the film, plays Raavan. Sunny Singh plays Laxman and Devdatta Nage stars as Lord Bajrang.

Adipurush has been mired in controversies since its release. After the release of Adipurush, netizens slammed the makers for its poor VFX, objectionable dialogues and costumes. After the backlash, Adipurush makers changed the dialogues.

A few days ago, Kriti Sanon reacted to the backlash. The actress shared videos of people enjoying Adipurush and wrote in the caption, “Focusing on the cheers and claps! Jai Siya Ram!” Prabhas and other cast members have not reacted to the backlash.
