‘Raees’ makes a mark worldwide with Rs 250 crore in kitty

Even though Shah Rukh Khan‘s recent movie ‘Raees’ failed to release in Pakistan, the movie is roaring victory all over the world. In India it has had a fabulous run in the theatres, and even worldwide, the film is doing well at the box office. As per reports, ‘Raees’ has managed to rake in Rs 250 crore in the overseas market so far.

Till its second Sunday, ‘Raees’ gathered Rs 250 crore with majority of moolah coming in from countries like US, UK, Australia and Singapore. Shah Rukh Khan has a massive fan following in all these countries and looks like his magic has worked once again. The film directed by Rahul Dholakia has become 2017’s first superhit film.

But despite these breathtaking numbers, ‘Raees’ has failed to break the record of Aamir Khan’s film ‘Dangal’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’. Both the films were able to make it to Rs 300 crore mark by the end of its second weekend. Let’s see whether it is able to make it to Rs 300 crore club or not as now it would be facing a tough competition from Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LL.B 2’. Releasing on February 10, 2017, ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ has Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi in the lead. It is a sequel of ‘Jolly LLB’ and we must say that there is a good buzz around the film.
