‘Raees’ witnesses a drop at the box office on its first Monday

After having a very good extended first weekend, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ dropped at the box office on its first Monday. The drop in the collection is more than 50%.

The movie on its first Monday collected Rs 6 crore taking the till date total to Rs 98.25 crore. Well, the drop in the collection was expected, but this one is a bit disappointing. The movie will reach 100 crore club by today, but let’s see if it maintains well in the upcoming days or there will be more drop in the collection. On Monday, the collection of single screens was better than that of multiplexes. This proves that the movie is doing well in mass centres. The film might pick up once again in its second weekend as there are no big releases till Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ hits the screens.
