Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor-starrer ‘Befikre’ had an average weekend at the box office

Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor-starrer ‘Befikre’, which is directed by Aditya Chopra, took a good start at the box office, but then the film failed to show a good growth over the weekend.

On Friday, the film collected Rs. 10.25 crore, on day two the collection was Rs. 11.50 crore, and on Sunday it collected Rs. 12.50 crore, taking the first weekend total to Rs. 34.25 crore. Well, there was a growth in collection, but it was not something that we expected from a Yashraj venture. It looks like the mixed reviews, and not so impressive word of mouth, is the reason behind the film’s average collection.

The movie did quite well in metro cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, etc. but in the rest of the country the collection was on a lower side. ‘Befikre’ needs to be stable on the week days to come up with a decent amount in its first week.
