Not just in India, the movie is doing considerably well at the global box office as well. Speaking about the worldwide collections, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has hit the Rs 250 crores mark globally. The family entertainer is unstoppable for sure!

On the other hand, the Karan Johar directorial venture has been doing well in the domestic markets. The film has collected Rs 122.68 crores so far but it will slow down as Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 have been released.

On Monday, after the success of RRKPK, filmmaker Karan Johar took to his Instagram account to share a long emo post. He expressed gratitude to each one of them who worked in the movie. From Ranveer and Alia to the technicians, Karan thanked them from the bottom of his heart.

“Prior to the release of this film, I felt that at any point of time, I would need an IV drip and was near collapse. The question I asked myself was – Is it the long 7 year gap? Or the anxiety built over the last 3 years. Or the fact that we live in an ambiguous box office time. Whatever the real reason is – I was a bonafide mess. But the Friday, 28th of July, I felt nothing but gratitude, validation and sheer joy. This film is truly a product of team energy & love,” KJo started his note.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani story

The movie is about Rocky and Rani who fall in love with each other but are unable to convince their respective parents. They then decide to swap their places and stay in their partner’s house to understand them better. This family entertainer also stars Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra. The movie was released on July 28.
