Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani worldwide box office: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s film beats Ek Tha Tiger, earns Rs 340 cr in a month

It’s been a month since Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii prem Kahaani released in theatres. The film has been unanimously receiving positive responses for its stellar cast, chartbuster music, and intriguing plot. While in India it is inching closer to the Rs 150 crore mark, globally, it is achieving new heights.

Apart from the domestic market, Karan Johar has a remarkable track record in the overseas market as well. The family entertainer has managed to earn Rs 340 crore globally within a month of release. With this collection, it has trumped Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger which collected Rs 334.39 crore worldwide. Elated by such a response, the makers wrote, “This prem kahaani is a sheer silver screen spectacle that’s taking the world by storm – day after day, for one month straight! Keep the love coming (sic).”

Domestically, the film has so far minted 147.75 crore. Despite facing competition with OMG 2, Gadar 2, and Dream Girl 2, it has managed to have a firm hold at the box office even in its fourth week.

The family entertainer was released in theatres on 28 July 2023. Apart from Alia and Ranveer, the movie also boasts a stellar cast of veteran actors. This includes Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Shabana Azmi. In addition, the film also stars Tota Roy Chowdhury, and Churni Ganguly in supporting roles. The story of the film is penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy. While its music has been composed by Madan Mohan and Pritam.
