‘Saaho’ Box-Office Report: Despite bad reviews, Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor’s actioner packs a punch

Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Saaho’ has been getting some of the worst reviews of this year. However, despite the bad word-of-mouth, the footfalls at theatres seem to not have an end. The film’s box-office collection just keeps on growing in leaps and bounds. After a stellar Day 1 and 2, the film has now collected Rs 29.48 cr on Day 3 to make a total combined collection of Rs 79.08 cr.

Trade Expert Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the figures. Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Saaho’ is getting an extended weekend all thanks to the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities today and tomorrow. The film has to make good money in these two days so as to stay afloat for another week.

While Prabhas has been marketed as a pan-India star after ‘Baahubali’, it seems that ‘Saaho’ was probably not the best choice to cash in on that popularity. The movie as many describe is ‘unbearable’. However, with fans wanting to throng theatres, the makers of the movie are probably breathing a sigh of relief. Will it be able to cross its making budget of Rs 350 cr and end up being profitable for the distributors, presenters and producers? We will have to wait for a few more days to decide on that.

Not only this, ‘Saaho’ will face tough competition from ‘Chhichhore’ in the coming Friday, which has got some stellar reviews already after a special screening of the movie. Will ‘Saaho’ be able to battle it out with ‘Chhichhore’? Well, only time will tell that for sure.
